Privacy Policy
OnePC ("we", "us") is a startup-track discovery product available at onepc.org and as a native iOS app. This page describes what data we collect, what we don't, and what choices you have.
1. Data we do not collect
- We do not track you across the web or other apps.
- We do not collect your name, email, phone number, address, age, gender, contacts, photos, location, microphone, or camera.
- We do not sell, share, or rent any data to third parties for marketing or advertising.
- We do not use third-party advertising networks.
2. Data stored on your device
The OnePC iOS app stores the following only on your device:
- Your quiz answers and computed result (archetype + 6-axis vector), in iOS UserDefaults / SwiftData.
- Tracks you bookmark, in iOS SwiftData.
- Your notification preferences (on/off, frequency, time) and language override, in iOS UserDefaults.
- A list of recently-shown tracks (for the no-repeat picker), in iOS UserDefaults.
None of this leaves your device. There is no server-side account. Reinstalling the app or signing out of iCloud erases this data.
3. Network requests we make
The iOS app and web site each make a small number of outgoing requests:
- OTA content refresh: the iOS app fetches
https://onepc.org/data/manifest.jsononce per app launch to check whether the bundled archetype/track data has a newer version. If so, it downloads the updated JSON files. No request body, no cookies, no identifiers attached. - Web analytics (web only): onepc.org uses Google Analytics (GA4, measurement ID G-WK6HPEP4C8) to count page views and language preference. We have not enabled Google Signals, ad personalization, or any advertising features. Google's anonymization is in effect.
- Vercel hosting logs: our web host (Vercel) records standard HTTP access logs (IP, user-agent, URL). We do not query, export, or use these logs for any user-tracking purpose.
- Stripe (web only): if you complete a paid quiz on web, your payment is processed by Stripe under their privacy policy. We never see your full card number.
The iOS app makes no analytics request, no Stripe request, and no Google request of any kind in v1.
4. Notifications
If you opt in to "Daily idea reminder" in the iOS app, we use Apple's local notification system to schedule reminders entirely on your device. No remote push server is involved. You can revoke at any time in iOS Settings → Notifications → OnePC.
5. Identifiers
The iOS app uses Apple's identifierForVendor internally as a stable, app-private seed for the deterministic daily track picker. This value is unique per vendor (us), per device, resets if you reinstall, and is not sent to any server. We do not use IDFA (Apple's advertising identifier).
6. Children
OnePC is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.
7. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. For meaningful changes (e.g. adding a new data category), we'll surface the change in the app as well.
